With tremendous historical significance, Five Star introduces traditional Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate. Founded by Grand Master Ansei Ueshiro, under the Direction of Hanshi Robert Scaglione, Ueshiro Shorin Ryu Karate, U.S.A. is a world renowned organization with 23 schools throughout the United States and abroad. The primary goal of Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu is to help students, both young and old, achieve the highest level of excellence in body, mind, and spirit, and most importantly have fun doing it. Kids can start as early as 5 years old and learn karate side by side with their older siblings, parents and grandparents. The idea behind traditional Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate is that the child, the teenager, and the adult learn karate together in the same environment, side by side as one karate family. The environment is safe, friendly, challenging, and studious. All students may attend class as many as 5 times per week based on a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month membership.
